Level One Vocal Pedagogy & Anatomy

Join Miss Emily for this engaging four-week masterclass designed to introduce students to the foundations of healthy, effective vocal technique and anatomy. Drawing from the principles of Estill Voice Training®, Complete Vocal Technique (CVT), Speech Level Singing (SLS), and Cabaret: Story Through Song, this course provides students with a strong technical foundation while encouraging expressive, authentic performance.

Students will explore:

  • True Vocal Fold Body/Cover Theory

  • Vocal Conditions and Qualities

  • Anchoring Techniques

  • Healthy Breathing Techniques

  • Vocal Exercises, Vocalises, and Warm-Ups

  • Performance techniques through Storytelling in Song

Throughout the course, students will apply these concepts to repertoire, culminating in a song personally selected by the instructor to complement each student's current voice, skill level, and artistic goals.

Class Details

  • Duration: 4 weeks

  • Schedule: 2-hour class each week (8 instructional hours total)

  • Attendance Options: In-person or live via Zoom

Students who are unable to attend in person are welcome to participate virtually. The class is designed so that both in-person and online students receive the same high-quality instruction and personalized feedback.
